Lots of people visit Alaska and say they want to live there. Some of them actually do move to the 49th State. A few of them do some interesting things in the Last Frontier. One of them moved from Iowa City and ran the Iditarod, the Last Great Race on Earth. Her name is Emily Maxwell.
Emily dispels the myth that mushers make dogs run. She becomes the leader of a team that wants to pull her a thousand miles. The bond between these equals with different roles is hard for regular folks to understand or even imagine.
